Black Sea

As The Black Sea region comes with a lot of diversity, either in climate, geology, fauna and flora. Through the cooling effect of the humid sea air it is possible to find almost subtropical ecosystems in its range. The species inventory have a lot of endemic species and representives from Eastern Asia and Europe. Especially the pontic forests make you feel like you are already deep in the orient, even if you are just at the edge to it. Beside the high diversity of species you may find a high dense of specimens in some areas, since a lot of the prime habitats are protected for ages and nature tourism is almost a traditional thing.
